Hospital Employed Neurosurgeons Advocacy Forum

Friday, May 1, 2026 | 2 – 4 pm
San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter on the River Walk

Join the Council of State Neurosurgical Societies (CSNS) for its first moderated panel discussion focused on the experience of practicing as an employed neurosurgeon. The CSNS and AANS recognize the unique challenges faced by employed neurosurgeons and are hosting this complimentary event to support collaboration and knowledge sharing.

This town hall-style forum will feature expert perspectives on key topics that affect employed practice, including navigating contract negotiations, understanding RVU-based compensation structures, collaborating with hospital administrators on capital expenditures, improving quality while maintaining clinical autonomy, securing protected time for academic pursuits and influencing systemwide neurosurgical protocols.

There will be dedicated time for audience questions, and attendee insights will help inform future CSNS initiatives that support employed neurosurgeons.

The session will conclude with a networking happy hour.

Moderated by Nicole Moayeri, MD
