FELLOWSHIPS & AWARDS

The Council of State Neurosurgical Societies (CSNS) created a resident Socioeconomic Fellowship in 1999 to as an educational opportunity for neurosurgical residents interested in socioeconomic education. The fellowship consists of a one year period where the selected resident will be involved in all aspects of the CSNS. During this year, attendance at the two semi-annual meetings of the CSNS is required. The fellowship description, specific aims, and application materials are available at CSNSonline.org with the annual deadline in March. To be eligible, applicants must be a member of either the AANS or CNS. All fellows will be selected during the spring meeting of the CSNS directly before the annual meeting of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and notified shortly thereafter. We at the CSNS would ask you help spread the word about this exciting opportunity that provides the resident participant a broad exposure to pertinent neurosurgical socioeconomic issues and an introduction to the world of organized neurosurgery.
